Art and Design

Concept Artist

We are looking for an experienced and talented Concept Artist to join our studio in Bordeaux.

You will join our growing team and work on exciting games. You will work closely with other artists, directors, game designers and developers as part of an experienced team, where both your technical skills and creative vision will help new fantastic Multiplayer PC IP in Dark Fantasy Universe.

You will be responsible of :

  • Collaborate closely with the Art Director to produce quality designs that define and expand the look of the game
  • Create sketch, draw and design art concepts for use by Production Artists to create their game content
  • Create creatures and characters, armors, weapons and props, and ensure that concept art is consistent with defined visual style for the game
  • Conceptualize via quick sketches and digital illustrations to help the art director show the project intentions
  • State ideas based on direction and the advancement of the project with screenshot paint overs and retakes of existing illustrations
  • Make any necessary iterations to ensure that the work is in keeping with the artistic vision

Character Artist

We are looking for an experienced and talented Character Artist to join our studio in Bordeaux.

You will join our growing team and work on exciting games. You will work closely with art director and other artists, producer, game designers and developers as part of an experienced team, where both your technical skills and creative vision will help new fantastic Multiplayer action game in Dark Fantasy Universe.

You will be responsible of :

  • Creating detailed high-poly models (stunning characters, Dragons and other fantastic creatures), model efficient low-poly meshes and author high quality textures
  • Highly experienced working with normal maps and capable of creating realistic materials
  • Self-motivated, proactive and able to demonstrate initiative

Management and Programming

Producer

We are looking for an experienced and talended Producer to join our studio in Bordeaux

Occupying the key position in game production process at Playwing Bordeaux studio, you will coordinate project teams to develop world-class games on PC and consoles devices for international markets.

You will take ownership of specific development areas to coordinate and track schedules, identify current and future risks, and troubleshoot communication and dependency problems.

You will be responsible of:

  • Manage a cross-functional production team in order to deliver incredibly compelling, highquality PC & consoles games
  • Plan and oversee the project, following the high-level roadmap set by the Executive Producer / Creative Director and the Leads
  • Develop high and low-level schedules, plan resources and assign them properly to ensure milestones quality, timings and goals are always respected
  • Coordinate relationship with Head Quarter Production team
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the quality of our games, the productivity of our teams and the efficiency of our processes
  • Work hand in hand with QA to triage game issues in order to deliver a flawless game to the end-user
  • Drive updates to the game service when the game is Live

Platform Programmer - PS4 & XBox One

We are looking for a Platform Programmer to join our brand new studio in Bordeaux, France.

The successful candidate will work within a collaborative multidiscipline environment, implementing console version of the game, using Unreal Engine 4. This person will be responsible of specific platform development, tuning, optimization and debug of the game (Multiplayer PC – Dark Fantasy Universe).

You will be responsible of:

  • Ensure the delivery of a debugged, optimized and high-quality console version. Don’t hesitate to propose technical solution for improve loading time, quality, higher frame per second, etc…
  • Ensure development of specific platform features.
  • Ensure the delivery of reliable pipeline for produce console version package.
  • Ensure code is modular, self-contained, and defensive; and observes the technical constraints on the system by leading regular technical design and code reviews.
  • Ensure coding standards are followed, and help to enforce good programming practices within the engineering team.
  • Ensure the creation of technical documentation for the engineering team.
  • Mentor, manage and regularly review individuals to build a cohesive and effective team.
  • Optimize code and data for memory usage and performance as required.
  • Write debugging tools for programmers, level designers and artists.
