3D ANIMATOR

Playwing, owned by the founders of Ubisoft, is an independent Game Developer and Publisher with a lot of passion for games. One of our team’s main goals is to improve the gaming experience for players.

For that reason we publish, distribute, and develop games for several countries worldwide. We are continuously innovating and seeking for the best UX.

Are you interested in?

We are looking for an experienced and talented 3D Animator to join our studio in Bordeaux.

You will join our growing team and work on exciting games. You will work closely with other artists, producers, game designers and developers as part of an experienced team, where both your technical skills and creative vision will help to create our new fantastic mobile IP.

You will be responsible of:

  • Collaboration

    Collaborate with Art and Design Directors to create a technically sound, engaging and memorable game

  • Team working

    Working with programmers, artists and designers to implement of animations into the game

  • Testing

    Testing, reviewing and iterating upon animations to tune them to the highest quality

  • Capacity

    Demonstrate strong key frame animation ability paying particular attention to making sure animations support the fast-paced nature of the game

You must have:

  • Experience using 3D animation software, particularly 3DS Max/Character Studio
  • A passion for making and playing mobile games
  • Demonstrable ability creating both realistic and cartoon human and creatures animations
  • The desire to collaborate with game designers, programmers and artists
  • Good working knowledge of game development workflows, engines (Unity), processes and tools
  • Understanding of character preparation from modelling, rigging and skinning
  • A keen motive to be proactive and efficient in work methods whilst maintaining high standards
  • A great team player, able to communicate, learn from and teach others in a respectable manner.
  • Excellent communication and collaborative problem solving skills

Got these? Even better:

  • Experience with technical animation – rigging/skinning and problem solving
  • Cinematic and Facial animation experience
  • Be familiar with fantastic creatures would be a plus
  • Good oral and written communication in English;
  • Good oral and written communication in French is a plus
